SOUL TALK by Larry Crabb
Join Dr. Mark Crook as he leads us through a study of the book entitled "SoulTalk" by Larry Crabb. Dr. Crabb proposes a counseling model to help clinicians connect more deeply with others. Tired of superficial communication, Crabb developed the SoulTalk approach to connect therapists with the deepest struggles, desires and dreams of others. He cleverly lays out the SoulTalk model using the following five steps.
1. Think Beneath - Is this person more aware of his/her desire for blessiongs or desire for God?
2. Think Vision - What would this person's life be like if they were pursuing God, more than his blessings?
3. Think Passion - When the counselor let's fo of their own self-obsession and have a true desire to care for the person in front of us.
4. Think Story - When the counselor hears the hidden story directing a person away from God, in order to find meaning.
5. Think Movement - Having an awaredness for the need to move toward brokenness; being able to articulate repentance, trust and a celebration of a person's true self.
Where Is the Camp?
This conference will be done in a retreat setting. Our conference will be held at Camp Bethany in Bethany, LA. It is located 15 miles southwest of Shreveport, LA. Camp Bethany is a beautiful retreat and camp facility. The location is ideal to get away and allow God to refresh and rejuvenate you as you prepare for Him to use you in His ministry. This conference is limited so hurry and register. Registration will be on a first come first serve basis.

Total cost: A non-refundable deposit of $50.00 leaving a balance of $158.00 for a total cost of $208.00
Student and Spouse
Total cost: A non-refundable deposit of $75.00 leaving a balance of $273.00 for a total cost of $348.00
Pricing is based on two to a room.
What does the cost include?
The cost includes registration, conference workbook, two nights lodging, supper on Monday, breakfast, lunch, supper on Tuesday and breakfast on Wednesday.
