Marriage and Family Counseling - PCC520

An enabling view of marriage counseling is presented.   Biblical
guidelines, counseling methodologies and other issues are addressed.

 

Course Highlights

To provide an integrated, biblically based theory of marriage and
marriage therapy.

To analyze marriage at three levels: the individual, the couple and the family.

To help counselors, pastors, and social workers develop a practical and comprehensive model for understanding couples and their problems.

To give a thorough overview of the assessment process using practical,
workable guidelines.

To offer specific techniques for enhancing cooperative change, intimacy, communication, conflict resolution and forgiveness within the marriage.

To help keep couples from slipping back into old patterns.
