Admissions
Statement
The institution admits students regardless of race, color,
and national or ethnic origin, and grants all rights, privileges,
programs and activities generally accorded or made available
to all other students at LBU. Further, LBU does not discriminate
based on race, color, gender and national or ethnic origin,
nor handicap in the administration of its educational and
other policies, admissions, disciplinary actions, scholarship
and loan programs, and athletic and other school-administered
programs.
Louisiana Baptist University is designed primarily for the
mature professional who has earned previous college credit
and has significant professional experience. The University's
students tend to be more mature, self-motivated individuals
that have self-discipline to succeed in an individual study
program. Younger students with few college credits are encouraged
to enroll in a recognized on-campus program. It is expected
that the successful applicant for admission will have attained
an appropriate educational level and will have demonstrated
professional competence (or such potential) at a level which
would prepare him/her for the academic program for which
they are applying.
